My name is Steven Williams. I have been using the online handle Nerzugal since my youth playing a Druid in World of Warcraft. I didn't start playing Dungeons & Dragons regularly until my first year out of college with some co-workers and friends, but I was immediately hooked. I volunteered to be the Dungeon Master, excited more than apprehensive to craft my own world and stories, and the locations and encounters in that campaign were the inspiration for my first book. I released Nerzugal's Dungeon Master Toolkit on the DM's Guild back in 2016 and it exploded with popularity beyond what I could have ever imagined. This inspired me to continue down the path of making my own content for D&D, this game I love so much.
Outside of the Dungeons & Dragons world, I supervise a team of application developers and think the skills I learn at the table certainly help me in my professional life as well. I have even given presentations to the company about this topic, how being a DM and learning to think on your toes prepares you for the unknown challenges that come our way.
I am currently located in the state of Missouri in the USA where I share a home with my wonderful wife, Bella, and our menagerie of animals including dogs, cats, snakes, fish, and axolotls.
